Homemade Maple Ice Cream

When one scoop is just never enough! Cool off and beat these #dogdaysofsummer with your own homemade Honey Maple Ice Cream made with Golden Blossom Maple Syrup!


6 Egg Yolks
3/4 Cup Golden Blossom Maple Syrup
1/4 tsp Sea Salt
1 1/2 Cups Half and Half
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Cornstarch
1 1/2 Cups Heavy Cream


1. Whisk together the egg yolks, maple syrup, cornstarch, and sea salt.

2. Wisk the half and half into the liquid mixture and cook over medium-high heat stirring constantly until the mixture begins to thicken. Do not let it begin to boil.

3.When the mixture thickens, immediately remove the pan from the heat and whisk in the cream and vanilla.

4. Pour through a strainer and chill the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.

5.Freeze the ice cream according to the manufacturer’s instructions for your ice cream machine. The ice cream is done freezing when it stands upon a spoon.
