Holiday Fruit Tart
Ingredients
Crust:
2 cups flour
3/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
1/2 cup margarine, room temperature
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1/8 teaspoon salt
Filling:
1 Tablespoon grated orange zest
3 MacIntosh apples, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
1 (12 ounce) package cranberries
3/4 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
3/4 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 oranges, peeled and sectioned
1 Tablespoon Courvoisier (optional)
Directions
Crust: Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and blend until mixture is crumbly. Press into the bottom and up sides of an 11 inch ungreased tart pan. Bake 15-20 minutes until crust is golden. Remove from oven and cool before filling.
Filling: In a large heavy saucepan, combine first 7 ingredients. Cook until mixture boils, stirring constantly. Gently mix in orange sections and Courvoisier. Pour into a bowl. Cover and chill. Pour filling into crust. Serves 8.
