Easy Bake Crab Casserole

Ideal for a holiday brunch, you can assemble a day ahead and bake 1 hour before serving.


2 cups crabmeat, cleaned and picked
8 slices buttered bread, crusts removed
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
3 cups milk
6 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon onion, minced
1/4 teaspoon paprika


Cut bread into cubes. Arrange in a 9 x 13" casserole. Spread crab and cheese on top.

Beat together remaining ingredients. Pour mixture over cheese. Sprinkle top with paprika. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 350°

Allow casserole to sit for 1 hour at room temperature.

Bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 15 to 30 minutes until top puffs and cheese is golden.

To serve, allow to cool 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
