Apple Cranberry Cobbler

Warm tender apples and tart cranberries sweetened with honey and laced with spices create a classic holiday dessert that never goes out of style.

Ingredients

Topping:

1 cup flour

1/2 cup old-fashioned oats (not instant)

1/3 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup butter, chilled and cut into small pieces

Filling:

5 or 6 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/4-inch thick slices

1 1/2 cups cranberries

1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

vanilla ice cream, optional

Honey Is Sweeter Than Sugar

Due to the high level of fructose, honey is 25% sweeter than table sugar.

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 °. Butter a 10-inch glass pie dish.
Topping:
Mix together flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon. Add butter pieces. Using your fingers, crumble butter into dry ingredients until mixture begins to clump.
Filling:
Place apple slices in prepared pie dish. Spoon cranberries evenly over apples. In a small bowl mix together remaining ingredients. Drizzle over cranberries and apples.
Sprinkle topping over fruit. Bake about 40–45 minutes, until apples are tender and topping is golden.
Serve warm topped with a scoop of ice cream
