Honey Tips

Honey Is Magic

In the days before biology and botany were understood, people thought it was a special kind of magic that turned flower nectar into honey.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly coat a 9-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Heat butter, orange juice and honey in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, whisking mixture to combine. Remove from heat. Whisk in vanilla and cinnamon. Set aside.
Unroll and separate crescent roll dough according to package directions.
Peel and core apples and cut each apple into quarters. Place one quarter on each roll and wrap dough around apple, stretching dough gently to cover apple and seal. Place in prepared pan.
Pour hot sauce mixture over dumplings. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake 25-30 minutes or until crust is golden and apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
To serve, place one or two warm dumplings in a bowl. Top with a spoonful of sauce. Add a scoop of ice cream if desired.
