Ingredients
1 pound spicy Italian sausage
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 large green pepper, sliced into strips
1 large red bell pepper, sliced into strips
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
2 cans peeled tomatoes (28 ounces each), drained, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1 pound ziti
3/4 cup ricotta cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Due to the high level of fructose, honey is 25% sweeter than table sugar.
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°.
In a skillet, brown sausage over medium heat, about 10 minutes. Remove from skillet. Reduce heat to low. Add oil and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute. Add green and red peppers, salt and crushed pepper. Cook 10 minutes or until peppers soften. Cut sausage into bite size pieces and add to skillet with tomatoes, tomato paste and honey. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook ziti 7 minutes or until they are al dente. Drain. In a large baking dish, add 1/3 of ziti, then 1/3 of pepper mixture. Continue layering. Spoon ricotta over top. Sprinkle with mozzarella and bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
