Chai

This Indian inspired aromatic black tea and milk drink is flavored with exotic spices and sweetened with honey.

Ingredients

2 cinnamon sticks

2 teaspoon black peppercorns

12 whole cloves

6 cardamom pods

1 (2-inch) piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced

6 cups cold water

6 black tea bags

2 cup whole milk

1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

In a medium saucepan place the first 6 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Add tea bags and steep 5 minutes. Remove tea bags. Add milk and honey. Return to heat and warm to a simmer. Strain chai. Discard spices.
Serve hot as a warming drink or refrigerate and pour over ice for a refreshing spicy pick me up.
