Golden Pecan Blondies

Rich and chewy golden brownies studded with toasted pecans and white chocolate chips.

Ingredients

3/4 cup pecans

1 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

3/4 cup butter, room temperature

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Honey Is Sweeter Than Sugar

Due to the high level of fructose, honey is 25% sweeter than table sugar.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 9X9-inch square baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Toast pecans on a piece of foil in oven for 5 minutes. Coarsely chop. Set aside to cool.

Using an electric mixer, beat honey, butter and egg until light and fluffy. Mix in extract.
Add flour and baking powder. Beat to combine. Fold in chocolate chips and toasted pecans.

Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until brownies test done. Cool on rack. Cut into squares.
Yields: 20 squares
