Grilled Pound Cake with Fresh Peaches

Luscious peaches, tossed with a little honey and spooned over grilled pound cake. A scoop of ice cream finishes off this simple dessert.

Ingredients

1 frozen pound cake thawed according to package directions

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

4 fresh peaches or fresh summer fruit of your choice

2 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

How Honey is Made

To make honey, bees drop the collected nectar into the honeycomb and then evaporate it by fanning their wings.

Directions

Trim off ends of pound cake. Cut remaining cake into 8 slices. In a small saucepan melt butter. Stir in honey until combined. Brush both sides of pound cake slices with honey mixture. Grill or broil slices about 1 minute per side, just long enough to lightly toast, watching carefully. Remove and set aside until ready to serve.
Slice peaches. Toss with honey. Let sit at room temperature 5-10 minutes. Place 2 slices of pound cake on each dish. Divide sliced peaches over cake and place a scoop of ice cream on top.
