Honey Tips
Honey Is Magic
In the days before biology and botany were understood, people thought it was a special kind of magic that turned flower nectar into honey.
Directions
Cover a baking sheet with foil. Spray foil with non-stick spray.
Place tomatoes and jalapeno pepper on prepared sheet. Broil 8-10 minutes until skin is charred and split, turning occasionally. Remove to a bowl to cool.
Using the same pan broil shallots and garlic about 5 minutes until skins are charred. Remove and let cool.
Peel skins from tomatoes, jalapeno, shallots and garlic and put in a food processor along with honey and salt. Pluse until mixture is slightly chunky. Refrigerate up to 3 days. This relish may be served cold or reheat to warm.
