Spaghetti and Meatballs

A quick-to-make tomato sauce and store bought meatballs allow you to have this satisfying Italian classic on the table in no time.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup onion, chopped

3 large cloves garlic, minced

2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

1 cup dry red wine

1 pound purchased cooked meatballs, (check the deli, meat counter or frozen section of supermarket), heated according to package directions

1/2 cup fresh basil, sliced

1 pound spaghetti, cooked according to package directions

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Heat oil in a large skillet or saucepan. Add onion and garlic. Sauté until onion is golden. Stir in tomatoes, vinegar, honey and wine. Bring to a simmer. Cook for 10 minutes. Add cooked meatballs. Simmer another 10-15 minutes. Stir in basil.
Serve sauce and meatballs over cooked pasta. Top with grated Parmesan.
