Breakfast Prunes

Prune fans will love this flavor-packed and nutritious treat.

Ingredients

3/4 cup water

1 pound pitted prunes

2 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

3 teaspoons lemon juice

2 strips lemon zest

3 tea bags

No need to refrigerate it. It can be stored unopened, indefinitely, at room temperature in a dry cupboard.

Directions

In a medium saucepan, combine water, prunes, honey, lemon juice and lemon zest. Bring mixture to a boil. Remove pan from heat, add tea bags and allow to steep for 3 minutes. Discard tea bags. Serve warm or refrigerate until ready to use.
