Roasted Pineapple

A great way to prepare pineapple in the winter. Serve as an appetizer or a dessert!

Ingredients

1 large pineapple, sliced into 1 inch thick slices

1/4 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

juice of 2 limes

salt

coarse ground pepper

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Preheat oven to 500°.
Brush both sides of pineapple slices with honey. Place on a cookie sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven flip slices over. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, return to oven for another 10 minutes. When pineapple is lightly browned on both sides remove from oven and sprinkle with lime juice. Cut into wedges and serve warm.
