Turkey and Melted Cheddar Sandwiches

A luscious Thanksgiving weekend treat. You'll look forward to leftovers once you have tried this sandwich.

Ingredients

8 slices whole wheat or other hearty bread

2 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

3 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 1/2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

4 plum tomatoes, sliced

8 slices left over turkey, or deli turkey

sprouts or shredded lettuce

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Place bread in a single layer on cookie sheet and put under broiler to toast. Watch carefully so bread does not burn. Remove from oven and turn bread over. Stir together honey and mustard. Brush honey mustard over untoasted sides of bread and sprinkle with cheese. Place tomato slices on top and broil until cheese is just melted. Remove from oven; arrange turkey slices and sprouts on toasted bread.Serve open faced, two per person.Serves: 4
