Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup dates, chopped
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
2 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods
Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 °. Butter an 8-inch square cake pan.
In a large bowl combine all ingredients except confectioners sugar. Mix with a wooden spoon until well combined. Spread in prepared pan. Bake 20 – 25 minutes until just golden.
Remove from oven. Cool on wire rack 10 minutes. Cut into 2-inch x 1-inch bars. Sift confectioners sugar over the top of bars while still warm.
Yield: 32 bars
