Crostini with Gorgonzola and Walnuts

A delicious appetizer that only takes minutes to prepare. Serve along with a salad of greens for a light and satisfying summer dinner.

Ingredients

1 French baguette, sliced into 12 (1/2-inch) slices

4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

1/3 cup walnuts, chopped

12 (1/2 teaspoons) GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Preheat oven to 400°
Place baguette slices on a baking sheet. Bake for 3 minutes, turn and bake another 3 minutes. Remove from oven. Spoon 1 tablespoon of Gorgonzola on each slice. Sprinkle evenly with walnuts and drizzle each with 1/2 teaspoon of honey.
Return to oven and bake 2 – 3 minutes.
Yields: 12 appetizers
