Fig and Orange Jam

Spread this jam on toasted bagels or bread. Serve with brie or goat cheese and a slice of French baguette for a lovely light lunch or appetizer.

Ingredients

1 cup dried Calimyrna figs, stemmed and finely chopped (use food processor)

1 large naval orange, peeled and finely choped, discard peel

1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

1/2 cup sweet red wine

1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick

No need to refrigerate it. It can be stored unopened, indefinitely, at room temperature in a dry cupboard.

Directions

Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once mixture becomes thick and resembles jam, cool and refrigerate until ready to use.
Yields: 2 cups
