Orange-Strawberry Compote

You’ll find many ways to serve this honeyed fruit spiced with a bit of cardamom. We like it on pancakes or waffles, but it is especially good with our Orange-Rosemary Bundt Cake.

Ingredients

2 naval oranges, peeled and white pith cut away

1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced

1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

Honey Tips

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Slice oranges into 1/2-inch rounds. Separate sections in a bowl. Add strawberries and toss.
Warm honey and cardamom in a small saucepan. Pour over fruit. Serve warm or refrigerate up to 2 hours.
