Ingredients
1 store bought angel food cake or pound cake
ice cream, if desired
Compote:
1 (16 ounce) container fresh strawberries, thickly sliced
4 tablespoons orange juice
1/4 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon conrstarch
1 cup blueberries

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.
Directions
Compote:
Place sliced strawberries, orange juice and honey in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Meanwhile in a small bowl stir together water and cornstarch. Add to strawberries and continue cooking until mixture begins to thicken. Stir in blueberries. Remove from heat and let cool.
Serve sauce warm or room temperature, spooned over sliced angel food cake. Add a scoop of ice cream if desired.
