Ingredients
2 (11 ounce) packages frozen cream chipped beef
6 or 7 medium potatoes, cooked and chopped
1 1/2 medium onions, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, coarsely ground
2 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
4 tablespoons butter
Honey Tips
Honey Never Spoils
No need to refrigerate it. It can be stored unopened, indefinitely, at room temperature in a dry cupboard.
Directions
In a large bowl, mix chipped beef, potatoes, onions and pepper. Blend in honey.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Spread meat and potato mixture evenly over bottom of pan to form a thick cake. Press down with spatula. Cook 10 minutes, moving pan occasionally to prevent sticking. Crusty bottom should form.
With spatula, lift up mixture from bottom of pan to loosen crust that forms. Turn over and press down on mixture again. Cook another 10 minutes, moving pan to prevent sticking.
Lift, turn and flatten hash again. Cook another 10 minutes. Lift up and a final brown crust should again be formed on bottom of hash.
To serve, loosen hash from pan and spoon onto plates.
Serves: 4-6
