Cranberry and Cherry Relish

The perfect combination of tart and sweet and spicy flavors. Serve this relish alongside your holiday turkey, pork or ham. For an enticing appetizer, serve a spoonful with a slice of Brie and French baguette.

Ingredients

1/4 cup dried cherries

1 cup Marsala

1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries

1 1/2 cups frozen cherries

1/4 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

In a medium saucepan combine dried cherries and Marsala. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients. Return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 10 more minutes until cranberries burst. Remove from heat and cool. Refrigerate until ready to serve, up to 3 days.
Yields: 2 cups
