Honey Tips
Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods
Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.
Directions
Heat olive oil in a large saucepan. Saute onion until tender. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Stir in tomatoes, honey, thyme and salt and pepper. Cook over low heat 10 – 15 minutes until sauce thickens, stirring often. Remove from heat.
Place Boboli crust on a baking sheet. Spread sauce evenly onto crust. Slice roasted pepper into thin strips. Arrange decoratively on top of sauce. Top with olives and sprinkle with cheese.
Bake 8 – 10 minutes until cheese begins to melt.
*To roast red pepper, cut in half, remove seeds, brush with a little olive oil, place on a small sheet of foil and broil until pepper begins to blacken. Turn over and continue to broil a few more minutes. Let cool. If desired peel skin from peppers.
