Ingredients
1 cup dried prunes
1 cup dried apricots
3/4 cup hot water
2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
2 eggs, beaten
grated rind of one lemon
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods
Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.
Directions
Preheat oven to 325°.Grease and lightly flour one 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Soak dried fruit in hot water for 30 minutes. Drain and reserve water. Chop fruit into small pieces. Sift dry ingredients together. Combine reserved water, lemon juice, honey and eggs and stir into dry ingredients. Fold in lemon rind, walnuts and chopped fruit. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake approximately one hour.
