Grilled Marinated Flank Steak

This tender, juicy, flavorful steak will become a favorite at your sumer cookouts. Perfect with an ear of corn and fresh sliced summer tomatoes.



1/2 cup teriyaki marinade


1/4 cup orange juice

1/4 cup onions, chopped

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 clove garlic, crushed

coarse ground pepper, to taste

1 1/2 pounds flank steak

Honey has different flavors and colors, depending on the location and kinds of flowers the bees visit. Climatic conditions of the area also influence its flavor and color.


In a small bowl stir together all marinade ingredients. Remove 3/4 cup and set aside.
Score steak on both sides with a sharp knife in a crisscross pattern. Place steak in a 13 x 9-inch glass dish. Pour marinade remaining in bowl over steak. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes, turning once.
Heat grill. Remove steak from marinade and discard marinade left in dish. Grill steak basting with reserved 3/4 cup marinade, turning once.
To serve, slice steak diagonally across the grain into thin slices.
