Honey Tips
Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods
Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.
Directions
Preheat oven to 325°. Grease a 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat egg, shortening and honey in bowl. Stir in flour mixture alternately with milk and yogurt just until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in raisins and pecans. Spoon into pan. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center tests clean. If browning too fast, cover with foil. Remove bread from pan to rack. Let stand overnight before slicing.
