Hummus

A Middle Eastern appetizer to serve with pita wedges.

Ingredients

3 garlic cloves, peeled

1/4 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup lemon juice

1/3 cup tahini (found in international section of grocery store)

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

1 tablespoon GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 (15.8 ounce) cans black eyed peas, drained

Pita bread, toasted and cut into wedges

No need to refrigerate it. It can be stored unopened, indefinitely, at room temperature in a dry cupboard.

Directions

In a food processor mince garlic. Add remaining ingredients and process until smooth. Serve with pita wedges.
