Kielbasa with Sauerkraut and Honey Mustard

We've updated this classic by adding an apple, beer and honey to the sauerkraut. A spoonful of honey mustard rounds out the dish. Perfect for a Sunday football feast.

Ingredients

1 (32 ounce) jar sauerkraut

1 cup onion, chopped

1 cup beer

2 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

2 bay leaves

6 peppercorns

1 tablespoon grainy mustard

1 Granny Smith apple, chopped

1 pound kielbasa, cut into 4 pieces

4 crusty rolls or a baguette

Honey Mustard:

3 tablespoons grainy mustard

2 tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

In a large skillet heat the first 8 ingredients. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook over low heat 15 minutes. Add kielbasa pieces, cover and simmer 10 more minutes.
Honey Mustard:
Stir together mustard and honey.
To serve, place kielbasa on roll, spoon sauerkraut on top and then honey mustard.
