Marinated Pork Chops

This is a light marinade with lots of flavor.



1/4 cup orange juice

2 Tablespoons vegetable oil

1 Tablespoon soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1/4 cup cold water

6 pork chops, boneless and one inch thick

No need to refrigerate it. It can be stored unopened, indefinitely, at room temperature in a dry cupboard.


Mix first five ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Mix cornstarch and water together in a small bowl. Once mixed, add to sauce and continue to cook until sauce thickens, stirring constantly. Allow to cool and use to marinate pork chops for at least 4 hours.
Broil pork chops approximately 7 minutes on each side until thoroughly cooked, glazing each side with the sauce. Any remaining sauce can be heated and served on the side.
