
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup shortening, such as Crisco
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY
1 egg slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups old-fashioned or quick cooking oats (not instant)
1 cup raisins
3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods
Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a baking sheet.
In a large bowl beat together butter and shortening. Add brown sugar and honey. Continue beating until well combined. Stir in egg and vanilla.
Add flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Beat until well blended. Add oatmeal and continue beating. Stir in raisins and pecans. Drop dough by spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes, or until cookies are lightly browned. Remove to a rack to cool.
