Honey Tips

How Honey is Made

To make honey, bees drop the collected nectar into the honeycomb and then evaporate it by fanning their wings.

Directions

Nuts: Toast walnuts under broiler until just brown, about 3 minutes. Watch carefully so nuts do not burn. Remove from oven. Place in a small bowl. Drizzle with honey. Toss and set aside.Oatmeal: Bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add oats and salt. Simmer over medium heat, about 3 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients, except yogurt. Cook an additional 3 minutes or until apples are tender.Spoon oatmeal into bowls. Top with a dollop of vanilla yogurt, sprinkle with toasted nuts and serve.
