Poached Pear Delight

Simply elegant and delectable.

Ingredients

4 cups water

1 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

4 strips orange zest

4 pears, peeled, cored, halved

chocolate syrup

1/2 pint heavy cream, whipped

4 large strawberries, halved

1 bunch mint leaves

How Honey is Made

To make honey, bees drop the collected nectar into the honeycomb and then evaporate it by fanning their wings.

Directions

In a medium saucepan bring water, honey and orange zest to boil. Add pears. Cover and simmer until pears are tender, about 10 minutes. Allow pears to soak in poaching liquid in refrigerator about 3 hours. Remove and slice pears.
To Serve:
Drizzle lines of chocolate syrup on serving plate. Place sliced pears in center of plate. Top with whipped cream. Garnish with strawberry halves. Add a mint leaf.
