Honey Tips

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Preheat oven to 325°. Grease a 9″x 5″ x 3″ loaf pan.
Sift together dry ingredients.
In another bowl beat egg, shortening and honey.
Stir flour mixture into egg mixture alternately with milk and yogurt just until dry ingredients are moistened. Add raisins and nuts.
Spoon into pan. Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until tester comes out clean. If bread browns too quickly, cover with foil.
Remove bread from pan. Cool on rack.
