Sirloin Steaks with Saga Pecan Butter

The garlic rub flavors the steaks and the cheese spread melts into the meat making these steaks irresistible.

Ingredients

Spread:

6 ounces Saga cheese, crumbled

4 Tablespoons butter, room temperature

1 Tablespoon GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

2 Tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 Tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

1/2 cup pecans, chopped and toasted

salt and pepper to taste

Steak:

6 cloves garlic, peeled

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1 1/2 teaspoons pepper

2 sirloin steaks (1 3/4 pounds each, and one inch thick)

Directions

Spread:
Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Season with salt and pepper. Can be stored in refrigerator until ready to use. Bring to room temperature before serving.
Steak:
Combine garlic, salt and pepper in a processor until a paste forms. Rub paste onto each side of steak. Steaks can be grilled or broiled on medium-high heat. Cook to desired doneness, about 5 minutes per side for medium rare. Serve with a dollop of spread on each portion.
