Honey Tips

How Honey is Made

To make honey, bees drop the collected nectar into the honeycomb and then evaporate it by fanning their wings.

In a medium saucepan combine apple cider, honey and brown sugar. Heat. Add chopped apple and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
In a small bowl stir together cornstarch, lemon juice and spices. Add to hot mixture and simmer whisking until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter and whisk to combine.
Serve sauce warm.
