Turnip and Apple Soup

A snap to make, this delicious soup is perfect for a cold winter day.

Ingredients

3/4 cup onion, finely chopped

2 Tablespoons butter

2 apples, peeled, cored and chopped

6 medium white turnips, peeled and chopped

4 cups chicken broth

1/2 cup half & half

3 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

salt and pepper to taste

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Sauté onion in butter until soft. Add apples and turnips. Sauté for an additional 5 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and puree in blender.
Return mixture to pan. Add half & half and honey. Heat. Serve hot with crusty French bread.
