Almond & Honey Charoset

Charoset is a Passover dish that represents the mortar the Israelites used to make bricks while they were enslaved. It commemorates their escape, and is a reminder to pursue freedom.

Ingredients

2 apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped

1 cup almonds, finely chopped

2 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 cup sweet Passover wine

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Mix together until well combined. Stir in wine, mixing thoroughly. Refrigerate overnight to blend flavors.
