Honey Tips
How Honey Is Created
Honey is created when bees mix plant nectar, a sweet substance secreted by flowers, with their own bee enzymes.
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°. Line a shallow roasting pan with foil sprayed with vegetable spray.
Rinse hens in cold water and pat dry. Set aside.
In a small saucepan place cider, ginger and cinnamon. Boil mixture until reduced to ¾ cup. Stir in honey and butter.
Sprinkle hens with salt and pepper. Place the hens in prepared pan and pour glaze mixture over them. Bake for 45 minutes until golden brown and juices run clear. Baste several times during baking.
