Fruit and Nut Granola

It’s fun and easy to make your own delicious granola! This crunchy, not-too-sweet cereal is loaded with fruit, nuts, healthy seeds and fiber. Substitute your favorite nuts and dried fruit and enjoy the results.

Ingredients

2 cups rolled oats (not instant)

1 cup chopped walnuts or sliced almonds or nuts of your choice

1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/2 cup sunflower seeds, without shells

1/4 cup wheat germ (found in cereal aisle)

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup raisins

1/2 cup dried berries and cherries mix or any dried fruit of your choice

Directions

Preheat oven to 300&deg.
In a large bowl combine oats, nuts, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and wheat germ.

In a small bowl combine oil, honey, vanilla and cinnamon until blended. Pour over oat mixture. Toss to combine. Pour onto a large baking sheet or roasting pan. Bake 15 minutes. Mix. Bake 10 – 15 minutes longer stirring every 5 minutes until mixture is golden brown. Remove from oven and return mixture to bowl. Add raisins and dried fruit. Toss. Let cool completely before storing in a large container or ziplock bags.
Yields: approx. 6 cups
