Honey Tips

Honey Is One of the Oldest Foods

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Pour cranberry juice into a large saucepan. Add honey, apricots, cranberries, raisins, cloves, nutmeg, and 2 cinnamon sticks. Bring mixture to a boil, stirring frequently. Cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Strain juice and discard fruit, cloves and 2 cinnamon sticks.
To serve, ladle warm wassail into cups and garnish each cup with a cinnamon stick. Can be made 24 hours ahead, strain, refrigerate and re-warm (do not boil) when ready to serve.
