Hot Buttered Rum

Hot buttered rum, light on the butter! Warm yourself from the inside out with this perfectly sweet winter sip!

Ingredients

1/2 Cup Butter, softened

1/4 Cup Golden Blossom Pure and Unfiltered Honey

2/3 Cup Brown Sugar

1/2 TSP Ground Cinnamon

1/4 TSP Ground Nutmeg

1/4 TSP Ground Ginger

2 Cups Apple Cider

3/4 Cup Black Spiced Rum

1/2 Cup Sweetened Whipped Cream

4 Cinnamon Sticks or Star Anise for Garnish

Honey Never Spoils

No need to refrigerate it. It can be stored unopened, indefinitely, at room temperature in a dry cupboard.

Directions

1. In a mixing bowl, add softened butter, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
2. Mix well, until smooth.
3. Place in a 4 cup glass measure.
4. Heat 2 cups apple cider to boiling.
5. Pour over cinnamon honey butter and top with rum.
6. Whisk together until butter has dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
7. Pour into 4 mugs and top with whipped cream.
8. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or star anise and a sprinkle of additional cinnamon if desired.
