Marinated Shrimp Appetizer

Perfect party fare. The chilled tender shrimp are sparked by the flavor of dill and cider vinegar.

Ingredients

1 pound medium shrimp (30-40 count), peeled and deveined

3/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

1/3 cup onion, coarsely chopped

Marinade:

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/2 cup cider vinegar

1/4 cup GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried dill weed

2 teaspoons salt

pepper to taste

Honey is one of the oldest foods in existence. It was found in the tomb of King Tut and was still edible since honey never spoils.

Directions

Cook shrimp in a pot of boiling water until they turn pink. Drain. In a large bowl combine shrimp, parsley and onion.
In a medium saucepan combine marinade ingredients. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and pour over shrimp. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.
To serve, remove shrimp from marinade. Put in a bowl or on a plate lined with lettuce leaves.
Yields: 30-40 shrimp
