Honey Tips

Honey Is Magic

In the days before biology and botany were understood, people thought it was a special kind of magic that turned flower nectar into honey.

Directions

Nuts:
Mix together sugar and cayenne and set aside. Beat egg whites and honey until frothy. Add pecans and toss until coated. Pour in sugar mixture and blend thoroughly. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean up. Place nut mixture on baking sheet. Broil in toaster oven approximately 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, and watching carefully to avoid burning. Loosen mixture, transfer to a plate and allow to cool.
Salad: Place spinach in large bowl. Add nuts, goat cheese, and dates. Whisk dressing one more time and pour onto salad. Toss and enjoy!
