Warm Broccoli and Mushroom Salad

For a change of pace, serve this warm salad as a side dish on a cool autumn night.

Ingredients

1 head of broccoli

5 slices of bacon, chopped

1 medium onion, diced

4 Tablespoons balsamic vinegar

2 Tablespoons GOLDEN BLOSSOM HONEY

1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced

No need to refrigerate it. It can be stored unopened, indefinitely, at room temperature in a dry cupboard.

Directions

Cut broccoli into bite size pieces and microwave or steam until tender but crisp. Drain and rinse with cold water and set aside. In a skillet cook bacon until well done. Drain fat and add onion, 2 tablespoons vinegar and honey. Bring to a boil for 3-4 minutes to reduce liquid. Remove from heat and add mushrooms, broccoli and remaining vinegar. Toss until coated and serve warm.
Serves 4.
